Painful: Nigeria loses another hero again

Since 2011, Boko Haram, one of the largest Islamist militant groups in Africa has conducted terrorist attacks on religious and political groups, local police, and the military, as well as indiscriminately attacking civilians in busy markets and villages. 

The threat of this Islamic group has led to the deployment of military personnels to combat and neutralize their trait.

This action has proof abortive for quite sometimes now. Many promising soldiers have lost their lives during this process. 

One of the fallen soldiers, ILIYA JACOB, died while trying to defend his nation from this insurgency in the north-east of the country.

From the report gathered, the late hero just got married last year December 14th, 2019. Just after few days of his wedding, he was called upon to come and defend his nation. The young hero died while fighting this deadliest Islamic group on Nigeria soil. What will become of his wife that he had left behind, along with the family?

Till date, the wife is still struggling with the pain of living without him. He is a bread winner of his family. How would they cope without him? 

The most horror thing about the whole thing is, many of our leaders have hands in this. Some politicians even sponsor this group. Most if our young soldiers have sacrificed their lives fighting in vain. Many have died and forgotten. 

The question is, how many more are still going to die in vain? Is this how the killing will continue?

Now that corona virus has pave its way to our nation. Tell me how our leaders would fight what they cannot see, if they found it hard to fight insurgency. May God protect our young soldiers as they continue to defend us.
